What you need to know:

Our house decor is not yet complete, all my life I never loved African/cultural styles and decor but when I was crowned Miss Tourism in 2015, we were dressed by Maciellah fashion house for the regional in Busoga and dressed by Brenda Maraka for the national at Serena

Enid Mirembe is the proprietor of the Rolex festival and is also the Miss Tourism Busoga Region 2015. She talks to us about her favourite part if the house.

What is your favorite part in your house and why?

My bedroom. That’s where I rest from leaving all the world’s problems and disturbances at the back of my head after a day’s hustle.

What is so special in the bedroom?

My bed, it was custom-made. I googled the design and added a few details on it. It has a long face board strictly wooden and only one upholstered in our bedroom.

How big is the bed and why did you specifically choose that type?

The bed is king seize. I love matte coffee brown in the house, from the. Clock to center piece to rug to curtains everything is coffee brown.

Matte coffee brown is a little is of African unlike other colours.

What else is in the bedroom?

It’s only our bed, with its side drawers, a bed rug, and inbuilt wardrobes.

What is the reason behind your different decor in your room?

Our house decor is not yet complete, all my life I never loved African/cultural styles and decor but when I was crowned Miss Tourism in 2015, we were dressed by Maciellah fashion house for the regional in Busoga and dressed by Brenda Maraka for the national at Serena. All the dresses were rich kitengi material and very beautiful. That’s when I started falling in love with everything African, so with time I believe all my house decor with have an African touch giving it Uniqueness.

What is the most expensive item in your room and at how much did it cost?

I will not disclose the prices but just know it’s made of mahogany, my carpenter studies wood works at Kyambogo, so it’s a bed, side drawers, lampshades and an upholstered ottoman.
