Justice Gadenya discharged from hospital

After spending close to two weeks in Nakasero hospital, Masindi resident judge, Paul Wolimbwa Gadenya has been discharged.

Family sources said Justice Gadenya was discharged on Saturday and returned home where he will continue with treatment as he recovers fully.
The family source that declined to be named, when asked how the judge is feeling, said: "he talks...a lot".
Justice Gadenya was on October 5 involved in a nasty accident near Masindi Town. 
He was heading to his duty station when his car collided with a truck.

The driver of the truck, allegedly joined the main road recklessly and caused the morning accident.
The judge was seriously injured alongside his body guard, CPL Opoka George, who sustained a fractured leg and his driver, Mr Ian Sam Akampa.
The Judiciary on that very day, organised and airlifted the judge in a military chopper to Kampala for better management.

Family sources say he has since undergone three surgeries, two on the fractured arm and one on his fractured leg.
Judiciary's permanent secretary, Mr Pius Bigirimana said the institution was going to meet the medical bills for the judge, his driver and body guard.
This publication understands that the body guard and driver have since also been discharged from hospital.
