Landslides kill three children, Kasese, Kinyamagana village, Bwensumbu Sub-county

Landslides that were sparked by heavy rainfall in Kasese District on Wednesday have killed three children.

 The incident happened in Kinyamagana village, Bwensumbu Sub-county in Kasese District on Wednesday.

According to Ms Irene Nakasiita, the Uganda Red Cross spokesperson, the three children from the family of  Mr Tembo Subulire and Ms Erinora Tembo were killed when the slides swept their house.

She identifies the deceased as Geofrey Mbusa, 17, Precious Tungu, 8 and 3-year-old Lordric Kiiza.

The family together with other affected community members last evening sought shelter at Kinyamagana Full Gospel Church with the bodies.
