The Judiciary has transferred 28 judicial officers at the ranks of registrars and magistrates as part of ongoing administrative measures to improve judicial efficiency and service delivery.

The transfers, according to the media statement released by the institution’s media unit, were made in accordance with Public Service Standing Orders, and are aimed at strengthening the administration of justice across various judicial stations.

Acting Chief Registrar, Pamella Lamunu Ocaya, who effected the transfers on March 14, noted that the redeployments were carefully undertaken to ensure optimal utilization of judicial resources while maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the system.

The transfers take immediate effect according to the Acting Chief Registrar, which transfers become her first ever since she took over the office of Acting chief Registrar about a fortnight ago, replacing Sarah Langa Siu who was appointed an Acting High Court judge

Chief Justice Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny - Dollo, welcomed the movements, emphasising its role in addressing staffing gaps and ensuring that justice is delivered effectively.

“Let the people see and feel the justice that we have committed to delivering under the new Judiciary,” he said.
