Minister cautions Mukono associations over Emyooga money

The state minister for water and area Member of Parliament for Mukono North, Mr Ronald Kibuule has cautioned group members in their different associations to use the Emyooga funds appropriately to avoid embarrassments.
"You should always use these government funds in the right way and don't be like the youth who were arrested after failing with their projects,” he said.

According to Mr Kibuule, some people pick the money but they fail to inject in pfofitable ventures and end up using it for leisure and other personal gratification.
"You have to be a mirror and the reason if Emyooga is to help you stop over working for bosses like the taxi drivers and also own your projects to get enough money for yourselves," he said.

He advised the taxi drivers to buy their own taxis using the Emwoga money to enhance their income.
The commercial officer Mukono district, Kenneth Ntege said so far there are 17 associations registered out of the 19 required.

The groups include private teachers, taxi drivers, boda bodas, farmers and business people, among others.
The associations are expected to get at least Shs30 million each.
The group members lauded Mr. Kibuule for launching the prjects.
