Museveni promotes five senior police officers

President Museveni has promoted five senior officers to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP), the Force announced Monday.

The police spokesman, Mr Rusoke Kituuma told journalists in Kampala that Mr Museveni who is the Commander in Chief had promoted Director of Logistics and Engineering, Senior Commissioner of Police (SCP) James Apora; Director of Traffic and Road Safety SCP Lawrence Nuwabiine; Director Interpol and International Relations, Joseph Obona; Director of Fire and Rescue Services, SCP Stephen Tanui and the Deputy Director Logistics and Engineering, SCP John Geoffrey Musana.

“Uganda Police Force extends its congratulations to the officers upon the appointments and promotions in the Uganda Police Force,” Mr Rusoke said.
