“We are training a lot. And this works for me in matters of confidence as we prepare for May,” he said.
“I would like to improve further on my bowling but now I want to concentrate on batting which is our biggest problem at national level,” added the man who recently returned from the Singapore Elite Player Series Programme.

He marked three half-centuries in four matches for Damani by first stroking a quick-fore 42-ball 53 littered with six boundaries and one maximum as they set 158-7 in the morning encounter.

His elder brother and former Cricket Cranes captain Frank Nsubuga picked figures of 5/14 as Damani bowled out Patidar for 90 runs despite their captain Ankit Patel making 43 runs off 42 balls.

In the afternoon, Ankit was dismissed after two balls and the wheels were off for Patidar, setting only 123 runs under the watchful eye of Saud Islam (4/24). In the chase, Mukasa was back at it, firing seven boundaries and two sixes off 22 balls to make 51 runs before he was bowled by Derrick Bakunzi at 78-1 after 7.1 overs.

Islam (49* off 30) and Riazat Shah (21* off 11) completed the job midway the 12th over. Meanwhile, KICC remained top of the pile with nine wins out of 12 matches after doing a double over SKLPS in Entebbe. Frank Akankwasa was the star man.
