Kampala Hockey Club (KHC) Swans took a step closer to their dream of returning to the Africa Cup for Club Champions (ACCC) by partnering with equipment brand Performance Hockey.
The Swans took part in the 2014 edition of the ACCC held in Lugogo and are putting strings together to take part in the 26th edition due January 31 – February 7 in Port Said, Egypt.

But the brand, which started in 2019 and made major breakthroughs by expanding from United Kingdom to Kenya in 2023, had already made inroads in the club with the men’s side captain Jordan Mpiima as an ambassador and will now offer a 15 percent discount on all its hockey equipment bought by KHC members.
Already trusted
Mpiima doubles as the women’s side deputy coach and his hockey story perfectly reflects the PH brand’s tagline Believe – Perform – Achieve.
Last season, he took the belief in his abilities a notch further. His exemplary performances led him to achievements like; second top scorer in the men’s National Hockey League (NHL) with 27 goals but also top scorer in the Uganda Cup with 11 goals. He was named men’s league most valuable player (MVP) but he also inspired players on the women’s team like Winnie Nandi (women’s Uganda Cup MVP) and Winnie Alaro (women’s league MVP), plus Sarah Arinaitwe. The latter was the first KHC member to buy PH equipment in the club and used her PH stick to score the lone goal of the final as the Swans defended the women’s Uganda Cup trophy last December.

“Safety is a big part of our game and we believe that Performance Hockey has made a major consideration for our players in providing this gear. It will definitely aid our performance at the ACCC and other competitions. Also the discount on other equipment will go a long way in helping our players attain high level equipment, especially sticks, to motivate them and aid their performance on pitch,” KHC chairman Albert Kimumwe, said in a meeting to close off the deal with Performance Hockey’s founder Hunjan Prabjot.
