What you need to know:

Initially, she seemed like raw talent but under coach Firew Hailegebreal, she has become more purposeful. She led the pressing works in the demolition of rivals and defending champions Kawempe Muslim at the end of the first round.

Peace Muduwa is starting to show the promise we were told when Kampala Queens added her to their roster at the start of the current Finance Trust Bank Fufa Women Super League (FTBFWSL) season.

Initially, she seemed like raw talent but under coach Firew Hailegebreal, she has become more purposeful. She led the pressing works in the demolition of rivals and defending champions Kawempe Muslim at the end of the first round.

Then she scored the lone goal away at Uganda Martyrs Lubaga as KQ started the second round in good gear.

KQ now lead the standing with 28 points – three more than Kawempe, who drew 0-0 away at Makerere University despite signing Uganda Christian University striker Jovia Nakagolo.

Makerere are tied on 14 points with She Corporate, who started life in their new Jinja home with a 1-0 win over Lady Doves thanks to a Jesca Namanda goal.

Doves were pushing the title chasers but are now four points Amus College, who have always downplayed any title ambitions. Edinah Wanda scored their only goal as they beat Wakiso Hill 1-0 away at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Wakiso are still bottom with five points as Tooro Queens won yet another game to climb to eight points after beating Rines 2-1 away.

Mary Kabaculezi returned home after a stint at Kawempe to score in the win but Patricia Nakyanzi equalized for Rines from the spot. However, Imelda Kasemire settled the tie.

Tooro are just a point behind Olila High School, who drew 0-0 away at She Maroons.
