Utd to dent Arsenal’s title challenge

Tottenham 3 Swansea 1

Juggling Thursday night Europa League action with the English Premier League is one of manager Mauricio Pochettino’ s principal concerns. The minimal recovery time notwithstanding, I think the North Londoners have enough in their tank to dispose off Swansea.

Watford 2 B’mouth 1

I can see home comforts for the Hornets in the battle of newly promoted topflight clubs.

West Brom 1 C. Palace 1

I was impressed by the energy and enthusiasm shown by Crystal Palace in their 1-0 FA Cup victory over Tottenham Hotspur. It provides a perfect platform for them to do something about their wretched English Premier League form.

Man Utd 1 Arsenal 1

Two things. Though Arsenal are the team with more to lose, Arsene Wenger is keenly aware that no team has beaten his side more often in the EPL era. Two Arsenal wins in the last seven fixtures point to a stalemate.

West Ham 2 Sunderland 1

The Black Cats come into this game on the back of a morale boosting win over Man United. But the Hammers are something else. Dmitri Payet and co. were unplayable as they hammered Blackburn in the FA Cup. Home win.

Southampton 1 Chelsea 1

The champions have morphed into draw masters under Guus Hiddink with seven draws in their last 14 fixtures in all competitions. Saints shot-stopper Fraser Forster and Chelsea’s holding midfielders Nemanja Magic and Obi Mikel will be a huge factor.

Stoke City 2 A. Villa 0

Giannelli Imbula’s barnstorming debut proves class is permanent. I am tipping the Frenchman to build a formidable central midfield partnership with Ibrahim Afellay. Aston Villa are short upfront, so I am tipping the Potters to canter home.

Leicester 2 Norwich 1
Ngolo Kante and Danny Drinkwater are providing the basis for Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez to shine with their tireless work in midfield. More Kante spadework will provide basis for victory tonight.
