The opposition of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has set next Tuesday as polling day to determine its presidential flag bearer ahead of the 2021 general elections. This as presidential contenders, Patrick Amuriat Oboi and Wasswa Birigwa, make their last joint campaigns in Kasese and Fort Portal in western Uganda. The month-long joint campaigns have seen the contestants tour several parts of the country. The duo is headed for northern and eastern Uganda, before returning to Kampala, by Friday. According to party spokesperson, Ibrahim Semujju Nganda, the party is preparing to hold a special conference of 200 delegates to choose their flag bearer.
