KCCA: Poverty, abuse, and trafficking drive kids to city streets

Despite efforts to address the issue of street children, there are concerns about their persistent presence on the streets.

According to Kampala Capital City Authority, KCCA, these children are driven onto the city streets by poverty, abuse, and trafficking.

The authority notes that to effectively address the issue of street children, the root causes pushing children on the streets must be handled first.
