The Presidential Candidate of the National Unity Platform Robert Kyagulanyi has petitioned the International Criminal Court to investigate what he calls acts against humanity by security agencies.

Among those he wants investigated are President Yoweri Museveni and security minister General Elly Tumwine in relation to protests that broke out when he was arrested in November. More than 50 people were killed.

Government Spokesperson Ofwono Opondo has said saying government cannot heed to  Kyagulanyi’s intentions of lawlessness and accuses him promoting negative image of the country.
