On day two of scrutinising the Uganda People’s Defence Forces Amendment Bill, 2025, several lawyers have proposed that some clauses be completely deleted because they give far reaching mandate to the General Court Martial to go after civilians. The Bill is before the joint committees on Legal Affairs and that of Defence and Constitutional Affairs.
