Safety at zebra crossing: Why police is urging caution to motorists, pedestrians

Pedestrians contribute to the biggest number of crash victims in Uganda. To ensure their safety on the road, authorities provide specific pedestrian walkways or call them Zebra crossings clearly marked. While normally, pedestrians are afforded precedence over vehicle traffic, this is often not the case in Uganda.
