Teachers accuse govt of discrimination, want preference for science colleagues stopped

Teachers have threatened to resume industrial action next week Wednesday unless the government agrees to improve their welfare. They are opposed to plans to enhance the salaries of only science teachers in the next financial year. The call to industrial action came during an annual general meeting of the Uganda National Teacher Union.
