The Ministry of Health is preparing to launch a groundbreaking initiative to vaccinate infants against malaria, a leading cause of illness and death in Uganda. The nationwide campaign is set to begin this April, with the goal of reducing the high morbidity and mortality rates associated with the disease. In the meantime, some private healthcare providers have already started offering the vaccine at a cost.
