The Uganda Wildlife Authority has introduced various income-generating projects for communities living near Kibale National Park in Kamwenge District to reduce wildlife and human conflict in the area. According to Richard Kigenyi, the coordinator of the Uganda Wildlife FACE project, these initiatives are funded using the 30% share of the revenue earned from carbon sales from Kibale Forest.
