Democratic Party criticizes gov’t proposal to regulate coffee growing
The opposition Democratic Party has criticized government over the proposed regulation of the coffee growing in the country. under the new policy, coffee farmers will all be required be registered and get permits before engaging coffee production.
However, the Democratic Party leadership is concerned that such a move will only push local producers out of business in favor of foreigners. DP president Nobert Mao has also explained the party’s recent membership recruitment drive that was organized to formally welcome local musician Joseph Mayanja also known as Jose Chameleon into the fold.
