Church Of Uganda set to install first ever-female provost
The Church of Uganda is set to make history when it installs its first ever-female provost. Rev. Canon. Dr. Rebecca Nyegenye has served the church in various capacities including Assistant Chaplain and later Chaplain of Uganda Christian University.
She will be installed as Provost of All Saints Cathedral tomorrow along with her deputy Rev. Captain Serunjogi at a ceremony that will be presided over by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Stanley Ntagali. Rev. Nyegenye has welcomed this appointment and hopes that more women clergy will be elevated to higher positions in the church.
