“I know that university education is expensive.

I call upon the government to support private higher education by making it affordable and assist it so that it can flourish,” the Anglican Archbishop said on Friday.

Vice Chancellor John Senyonyi said: “The government whose stated goal is to put emphasis on the sciences should support private universities in making science equipment more accessible and by totally waiving VAT on higher education construction projects.”

The university is constructing a library worth $4m (about Shs9billion).
