Exactly two weeks to R. Kelly’s highly-anticipated I Believe concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala, Zain the company organising the event, has announced tickets to the show will hit the market on Tuesday.

Officials told journalists at a press briefing at ZK Advertising offices in Kololo on Wednesday that tickets for the January 29 event will be available at several Zain outlets countrywide.

There will be three tickets; Silver at Shs30,000, Shs125,000 for Gold, and platinum at Shs250,000.

“We’re providing different options for all people from all walks of life who would like to be at this historic event and as such, we’re giving everyone a chance to watch R. Kelly live at the price that they can afford,” said Mr Levi Nyakundi, the Zain marketing manager for consumer and pay phone.

The platinum tickets will be available at the One Stop Shop at Zain House and the Zain shops at Nakumatt, Uchumi and Lugogo Mall only. Meanwhile, a Jinja student, Ms Annabel Uwera, has become the second person to win Shs5 million in the ongoing ‘I Believe’ promotion in which one simply dials *160# to enter the draw.

It was revealed on Wednesday that 20 people have already won Gold tickets in the weekly draw, which is aired live on UBC TV every Sunday at 8:30p.m. Zain has also produced a special edition of SIM cards for the R. Kelly concert and if one connects using one of them, they enter draw.
