Indian national found dead at Speke Hotel in Kampala

Police in Kampala are investigating the death of an Indian national at Speke Hotel in Kampala.
The Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Mr Luke Owoyesigyire told this reporter on Monday that Naland Natsha, 53, was found dead in his hotel room 101 on Saturday under unclear circumstances.
He said Naland’s body was discovered by hotel staff when they checked his room and immediately notified the police.
Police retrieved the body and took it to Mulago Hospital morgue for post mortem, and the results indicated a blood clot in his lungs, as the cause of his death.
"Preliminary post mortem results show there was a clot in his lungs that caused difficulties in breathing," Mr Owoyesigyire said.
He added that Naland arrived into the country on May 5 and was representing Mahindra Consulting Engineers.
"We have recovered Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage and recorded statements that will help us in investigations," Mr Owoyesigyire said.
Close to 10 foreign nationals have died in Ugandan hotels and apartments in the last one year.
These include; Jurgen Gallant, a German national who died at Nsambya hospital where he was rushed in critical condition, Eric Yvomr, a Belgian national died in his apartment in Muyenga, Alex Nordlarndar Sebastien Andreas, 41, a Swede died at Sheraton hotel and Terasvouri Tuomas Juha Petteri, 42, a Finish died at Pearl of Africa hotel. Watson Monte Guy, a US citizen died in Bwana Tembo Safaris Camp while Charlotte Rita, died during a nature's walk.
