New selfie stick that looks like an arm

What you need to know:

Finally we can see what it would look like if we had a friend

Two designers have just taken the selfie stick one step further: now you can pretend that your trusty photographic aid is actually the arm of someone who is taking a photo of you. While holding your hand.

Because who doesn't want to pretend that they have a very clingy friend?

Sadly it's not yet in shops - it's just a prototype at the moment, created by Aric Snee and Justin Crowe. Apparently it's "a direct commentary on the growing selfie stick phenomenon, and the constant, gnawing need for narcissistic internet validation".

The internet validation you get for creating a satirical camera stand that looks like an arm is presumably better than the internet validation you get for posting a selfie, for some reason.

Crowe's other work includes a sculpture of a human torso with an iPhone charger in the groin and a stop sign with a QR code on it. Woah.
