Senior four results out on Tuesday

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has set Tuesday 3rd February to release the results of senior four candidates who sat for the Uganda Certificate of education examinations (UCE) last year.

A total of 309,899 candidates from 3,006 centres sat last year’s compared to 288,738 in 2013.

Uneb Secretary General Mathew Bukenya says the Uneb security committee has already scrutinized the exams and the board is ready to brief the Education Minister Jessica Alupo on performance.

“We told the minister that we were ready to release the exams and she confirmed Tuesday, so we are going to brief her about the performance of the candidates on Monday. Said Mr Bukenya.

Last year they released two weeks after schedule due to collapse of the Uneb computers, internal bickering between the former chairperson Fagil Mandy and the secretary Mathew Bukenya and financial constraints among others.
However Bukenya attributed this year’s timely release of the exams to the harmony at the Uneb headquarters in Ntinda and the good leadership of the Board chairperson Prof Mary Okwakol.
