KAYUNGA

Kayunga Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Francis Kakooza is under fire from the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) leaders for banning the pinning of President Museveni’s campaign posters on the hospital buildings.

Local NRM leaders in Kayunga district have reported a case against Dr Kakooza at Kayunga Police Station.
Dr Kakooza said on Thursday that he had recorded a statement at the police over the matter.

The Resident District Commissioner Ms Rose Birungi and Chief Administrative Officer have summoned Dr Kakooza for interrogation. Dr Kakooza denied claims by NRM leaders that he had removed the postersfrom the hospital buildings. But he confirmed he was opposed to pinning campaign posters of any political candidate on the hospital walls.
