Futsal: Blunt attack hurts Uganda in game against Somalia

KAMPALA. The Somali select futsal team came up with their best performance in the first futsal friendly last week, beating Uganda in both the U20 and senior categories. Mahad Mahamoud scored a hat-trick, as Fyore Ahmad and Abdul Kadir grabbed the others in the senior game as Somalia beat Uganda 5-2.

Uganda’s consolation goals were scored by KCCA FC recruit Sadiq Sekyembe and Sulaiman Mutyaba. Not only did the Somalians overwhelm Uganda in attendance; they also came up with a neat passing game to send their fans into a frenzy of Arabic chants. The teams will play the return leg this Friday.
