Cranes midfielder Tony Mawejje made a goal scoring return to Iceland albeit in a losing effort as his new side Valur FC were defeated 4-1 by KR Reykjavik in Iceland’s premier division.
Mawejje, who featured for ÍBV between 2009 -2013 in the same league scored four minutes to half time for his side.

The team is currently sixth and a place in front of his former club in the 12 team league which is just past the half way mark.

Mawejje returned to Iceland on a sixth month loan deal having found first team opportunities hard to come by at Norwegian club FK Haugesund with whom he signed a two year contract late last year .
The former Masaka and URA midfielder who came on as a substitute against Madagascar was also omitted by coach Mich Sredojevic from the Cranes team for the weekend win over Mauritania.
