Okwi gives Bbosa winning Villa start

KAMPALA. World over, football fans share one thing in common, the ever-changing views on their team and others around them.
SC Villa fans are not any different. A week ago many of the club’s fans vowed not to allow coach Wasswa Bbosa take charge at the club as a noose was put around predecessor Shafik Bisaso’s neck.
The situation reached boiling point in the club’s 2-2 draw with Lweza, a result that eventually led to Bisaso’s sacking with fans waving placards in his support.
Seven days later and with Bisaso gone, the fans seemed to make a quick turnaround as they applauded Bbosa off the pitch following the club’s 1-0 win over Sadolin Paints.

“I know all that the fans want is the team to win, that I what we shall try to do. It is the reason why I was never really bothered by their previous actions,” Bbosa stated after the game attended by an average crowd.
The win secured courtesy of a sublime freekick from Emmanuel Okwi, was the club’s first win in four second round games having drawn all their previous encounters.
Okwi’s goal was meanwhile the third for the striker in four games since returning for his third stint at the club.
The result moved the Jogoos to 37 points from 19 games and a point behind leaders KCCA who have played a game less while Sadolin remain just above the relegation places all occupied by three other Jinja based clubs.
