Victor Munoz to coach Barca legends

Munoz will handle Barca at Namboole

KAMPALA. Spanish football legend Víctor Muñoz Manrique has been confirmed as the man who will be in the dugout when Barcelona Legends take on the Uganda All Stars on December 12 at Namboole.
Muñoz’s managerial career started in 1995 was temporary put on hold at Zagagoza last year.

Although the coach has never managed Barcelona, Muñoz played for the side between 1981-1988, making 224 appearances and scoring 14 goals.
It was at that same time that the now 58-year old represented Spain at the 1986 Fifa World Cup, and at UEFA Euro 1984 and 1988, retiring from international duty immediately after that group stage exit at Germany ‘88.
Muñoz won the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1982, the La Liga in 85, two Copa del Reys (1983, 1988), the Supercopa de Espana in 1983 and the Copa de la liga in 1983 and 1986.

The coach will manage other Barccelona superstars like Patrick Kluivert, Edgar Davids, Luis Garcia, Carlos Puyol, Ludovic Guily, Gianlunca Zambrotta, Deco Anderson, Gaizika Mendieta and Juliano Belleti.
Others are Luis Carreras, Julio Iglesias, Sergi Barjuan, Albert Luque and Jesus Angoy. Muñoz and his team arrive in the country on December 8.
