What you need to know:

  • This is when I review communication strategies, resources invested and benefits registered. As a marketing manager, I manage the brand, products, agents, and feedback that comes in from all branches. We have more than 35 branches, and 100 agents at the moment, internal and external stakeholders.
  • I support business, sales, retail, wholesale banking, corporate banking, branches, and also making sure that everybody is informed internally and externally.

Monday
Mondays used to be my favourite days, but not anymore. It is an annoyingly busy day. I wake up so early to beat the traffic and prepare children for school.
When I get to office, I am welcomed by calls and impromptu meetings, numerous proposals from people suggesting how wecan improve the brand, among other assignments.
As much as I have a to-do list written down daily, I find myself carried away in so many other assignments which equally require my input, time and attention.

Tuesday
This is when I review communication strategies, resources invested and benefits registered. As a marketing manager, I manage the brand, products, agents, and feedback that comes in from all branches. We have more than 35 branches, and 100 agents at the moment, internal and external stakeholders.

I support business, sales, retail, wholesale banking, corporate banking, branches, and also making sure that everybody is informed internally and externally. I ensure that for any project that is undertaken, content is packaged in a way that is appropriate to staff and customers.

Wednesday and Thursday I do the same tasks and assignments. This is when I oversee organising of events, planning and marketing. I go home early on such days to prepare dinner for family.

Friday
Fridays are usually hectic because there are events and activities happening during the weekend and I have to ensure everything is in check. Sometimes we organise three to five events at ago and we have to evaluate performance.

Saturday
It is the only day for me to unwind. It is also the day I spend quality time with family. And on days when there are office events, I wake up at 5am to go and work.

Sunday
I wake up at 8am, prepare breakfast, and go to church with family. Before we return home, we go for our weekly shopping. At home, I prepare a special meal for the family.

Tit bits:
“I am a memebr of some unique and interesting groups. I belong to a book club where we are tasked to read a new book each week. Some of my favourite books I have read include Smart Money Woman by Arese Ugwu and Running in heels by Pamela Bayenda. Our goal is to nurture a reading culture among members and their families.
I am also pursuing ACCA and I spend time reading and researching.”
