priests, retired, shuffled, Ntungamo, Bishop Nathan Ahimbisibwe

Bishop Nathan Ahimbisibwe of South Ankole Diocese has retired six reverends and transferred 26 others.
The changes were announced on Sunday at diocesan seat in Kyamate in Ntungamo Municipality. Six were ordained deacon reverends and three confirmed as reverends.
The Rev Can. Charles Kapson, Rev Phenehas Turyabahika, the Rev Ven Polly Beitwa, the Rev Alfred Beshobeza, the Rev David Byarugaba and the Rev David Karuhinda were retired after clocking 65 years.
Some of those transferred are the Rev Nathan Nkuranga, who has been the Diocesan Chaplain. He has been posted to Kishami as parish priest.
The Rev Job Newton is the new diocesan chaplain. The Rev Aggrey Ainamani has been transferred from All Saints to Katojo Parish while the Rev Eldard Muhunguzi was transferred from Rubaare Parish to Rwoho.
Preaching during the service, the Rev Can. Ronald Kakye of Rukoni Archdeacon, asked reverends to take charge of the churches where they have been posted.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe cautioned priests against laziness and neglecting their duties.
“We encourage priests to lead the people they serve and be examples of working. If a priest does not work, it is hard for people where he is serving to work and develop. Our theme this year is ‘My father still works and I also work’. If God still works, who are we as priests to fail to work?” Bishop Ahimbisibwe asked.
