The Ruhaama County MP, Mr Moses Kahima Mugabe, has given his constituents four hours daily to call him so that he can attend to other engagements.

Speaking during a baptism party in Ntungamo District on Sunday, Mr Kahima said residents can call him from 7am to 10am because he is either engaged in Parliament work or with his family the rest of the day.
“After 10am, that is when we go for parliamentary committees and when we leave, we go for plenary. I cannot pick phone calls during that time. In the evening, that is time for my family too. If it is not the time I have told you, I will not pick the phone,” he said.

This comes after residents accused him of not picking their calls.

The MP said he will hold meetings with his constituents when consultations are required and organise others to seek their views.

Mr Kahima was elected on January 11 this year on the NRM ticket following the death of William Beijukye Zinkurateire on November 4, 2017.

Speaking at the function, the LC5 chairperson, Mr Denis Singahache, urged the business community to also educate their children.
