NMG Editor-in-Chief Tom Mshindi to retire

Nation Media Group Editor-in-Chief and Executive Director Tom Mshindi is retiring.

The company said in a statement Friday that Mr Mshindi will retire at the end of December.

Mr Mshindi has worked at NMG for a total of 24 years in two stints.

He served in various roles, including as a journalist and later as managing editor of the Daily Nation, managing director of Monitor Publications Ltd (Uganda), managing director of Nation Newspapers Division and chief operating officer.

Mr Mshindi was appointed editor-in chief on June 5, 2015 and to the Board as an executive director in July 2016.

Mr Mshindi will continue to serve as the board manages the transition, the company said.
