Important things year 2018 taught me about life

What you need to know:

  • That the breath we take in is drugged with a considerable dose of hope. Addicts is what we all are. Maybe, to know this and still breathe, is all life’s purpose.

I know that you could be my last or another of those I labour to recall or forget. You could be good or bad. I am no longer one to be held hostage by your promising charms - yours and the offspring years you will beget. That there is no resolution herein doesn’t make me less resolute.
There are no milestones per se awaiting in you, it is just specks of dust I am bringing your way. They will glue up! The future must mend!

That I had unfinished goals in the past year doesn’t mean that I am being dragged into you. But take what you will and give me only what you will not reclaim as yours. The thing is, the past year taught me that the natural state of water is not only flowing, but it is also drying up. That success is not final. That the breath we take in is drugged with a considerable dose of hope. Addicts is what we all are. Maybe, to know this and still breathe, is all life’s purpose.

You see new year when you have awaited a dream for the most part of your dark night, a day-dream might suffice. But to shoot for the moon, land among stars and not be hypnotised by their lustre and shoot still for that dry uninhabited dream. That is what makes us Angels.
