Eyes on Orland Brothers as MX season sets off

KAMPALA. All eyes will be on the Orland Brothers as the 2019 motocross season starts today at the Victoria Race Track in Garuga. The trio, will be trying to eke their names among the best in the sport.
Alon (65CC), Stav (85CC) and Aviv (125CC) are yet to win a national title despite being dominant in the races they have participated in as guests.
With regional and African titles in the bag they are desperate for national titles. With Ali “Bobo” Omar and Fortune Sentamu ruled out of the 125CC class opener with injuries which they sustained during training two weeks back, it leaves only Aviv and Alistair Blick to fight for honours in this class.
The most exciting action of the day will be in the 85CC class where Uganda’s finest rider Stav will faceoff with the Obote brothers of Milton Akaki and Akena who, upgraded from 65CC. Malcom Lubega is the other rider to look out for.

“I can’t wait to see the boys in 85CC class. It is the core of motocross in the country because it has big numbers which makes it competitive compared to others. When you look at them six riders, anyone can win the race,” said Blick.
Eight-year-old Gift Ssebuguzi who has upgraded from 50CC to 65CC is also a big challenge to Isabella Blick and Alon. But Aviv tips Ssebuguzi to do well despite making is debt in the class.
“That boy is crazy. I used to see him doing things on the 50CC and it was unbelievable. I think he will give Alon and Isabella a run for their money,” he said. Team Uganda captain Maxime Van Pee is not expected to facy any serious challenge in MXI after the retirement of Arthur Blick Jnr. He will unleash his new KTM 2019 model bike. Fatuh Kiguddu, who upgraded to the class this season says that he has come to enjoy himself.
