KAMPALA. Rumours surrounding Alex Isabirye’s future at Kyetume came to an abrupt end when his suitors Nyamityobora acquired Asaph Mwebaze instead.
Since then, he earned three points from a winnable fixture against Bukedea. But today presents another challenge - the biggest so far when they host big spenders Wakiso Giants in what should be a mouthwatering affair. Kyetume’s silent assassin Cephas Kambugu (two goals), threatens opposing goal keepers with ease in equitable terms to his larger than life persona off the field.

Isabirye has a good mix of experience and youth. Vincent Kayizzi, Patrick Ochan, Godfrey Buni, Phillip Ssempiira, Ibrahim Kazindula and Emmanuel Obitre, among others are in his roster.
“Every game counts and winning at home is one way to earn promotion,” Isabirye said.

But that is the similar target for Ibrahim Kirya - presumably. The Purple Sharks, as they prefer to be called, are not an ordinary side. They beat Tooro United 1-0 in a training friendly ahead of the fixture. After beating Bukedea in the previous game, assistant coach Andy Lule declared: “We are targeting promotion.”
Even then, James Kasibante, Fahad Kawooya, Ayub Kisaliita, Ivan Kiweewa and Ali Feni must stand to be counted.

Elsewhere, the rescheduled game between JMC Hippos and Nebbi Central will excite at Luo grounds. It will be JMC’s second game in three days after playing another West Nile side, Aziz Damani Doves on Friday.
Nebbi Central remains without a win in five games, a run that has attracted public fury towards coach Jeff Thorwinyu-wa.
