KAMPALA. If StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka were to lose to Fufa Big League (FBL) side Proline this afternoon at Lugogo Stadium, it would pass as one of the three major upsets that have rocked the Uganda Cup thus far.
Already defending champions KCCA and nine-time winners SC Villa are out licking wounds after losing to lesser sides and that to Onduparaka technical director Leo Adraa, is their biggest motivation.

It will not be an easy test for the Caterpillars considering Proline love to attack at home under their vastly experienced coach Shafiq Bisaso.
“They have a tactically good coach and retained a big number of the players that they had in the top league last season. “Lugogo is not a good hunting ground for us but we are going for victory,” Adraa told Sunday Monitor.

The Caterpillars announced their arrival at the big stage by racing to the Uganda Cup finals in 2016 only to fall 3-1 to Vipers.
“Yes, they are a team in a division above us but that doesn’t threaten us at all,” Bisaso, formerly the coach at SC Villa and Express, revealed.
“We are going to stick to our norm; play to entertain the fans and attack. We believe our forwards Emmanuel Egaku and Mustapha Kizza will get the goals,” he added.

Wakiso Giants fairytale continues
There is a general feeling that Ibrahim Kirya’s Wakiso Giants, with an enviable experienced side, will be playing in the top flight league next season – courtesy of their unbeaten run in the FBL.
On Friday, they continued to impress on another front, Uganda Cup, when they ejected Tooro United 4-2 on spot kicks after a barren draw at Bugembe Stadium to cruise into the quarterfinals on the first time of asking.

Like they did against Kireka United at the round of 32, Tooro United held their nerves when it mattered most with Ivan Kiweewa, Isaac Ntege, James Kasibante and Hassan Wasswa Dazo netting as they eliminated Wasswa Bbosa’s side. Isa Mubiru and John Byamukama missed for the visitors.
