A group of youth in Rukungiri district has started fasting and praying for the release of Sam Mugumya, an aide to former Forum for Democratic Change leader Dr.Kizza Besigye.
The army spokesperson Lt. Col. Paddy Ankunda said earlier that Mugumya was arrested while recruiting people into rebel activity in neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo.

However, the First Consular at the DR C Embassy in Kampala Christian Katoto says he is not aware of any such development.
The youth led by Aloysious Twebaze say that with such conflicting reports about Mugumya’s whereabouts they can only keep him in prayers.
“We shall spend days praying in churches and mosques and later hold a rally to call for his immediate release”, Twebaze adds.
