Govt still owes contractors more than Shs500b in arrears

With a debt owed to contractors of Shs700b, the road sector only got Shs800b this financial year leaving many contractors unpaid. The arrears emerge from aggressive funding cuts by the government. The newly passed budget for next financial year will hopefully grant some relief as infrastructure has been added about Shs300b.
