Zuri, a new digital lifestyle devices brand has introduced four smartphone models in the Ugandan market.

The four smartphone models available include C41, C46, C52 and S56 – each with unique and superior specifications such as efficient Android 5.1 platform, powered by multi-core processors – including an octa-core option – dual-sim capabilities, large screen sizes and high quality camera options, all packaged in a stylish exterior.  All Zuri devices support over-the-air firmware updates.

Consumers can now buy Zuri smartphones at locations throughout the country, including at leading retail outlets Simba Telecom, Go Phones, Africell outlets countrywide, The Ultimate Gadget Mania, Movie Mart and Praise Communication, according to a statement.

The statement says all Zuri smartphones come with a free 8GB micro SD card and two essential accessories: screen guard and protective cover.

Backed by the “Zuri Cares” programme, the phones come with a 12-month warranty and benefit from an extensive after sales network.  Consumers can contact any service center location across Uganda for efficient, professional support for their Zuri smartphone.

Vikash Shah, CEO at Zuri, said: “Our investment in after sales service, from Day One, demonstrates our commitment to deliver the best customer experience. In addition to a great product, we believe reliable service is essential to the long-term sustainable growth of Zuri brand in East Africa.”

Part of the Amoli Group, Zuri was launched in 2014 to expressly focus on the needs of a growing class of newly-connected consumers, in both mature markets and developing economies, where Zuri’s combination of design, quality and value will have broad mainstream appeal.  Zuri smartphones first became available in Uganda earlier this year.

“Working with operators, retailers and resellers in East Africa, we are making real gains in the market by explaining the benefits that Zuri provides to consumers,” Mr Shah said.

He said the Hong Kong-based digital lifestyle device brand appeals to consumers who appreciate elegant design, high performance and superior value.

Zuri will sell the phones together with DESPEC, their distribution partner.
