Last Saturday, Lugogo Forest Mall’s parking yard was transformed into a runway for the third anniversary of the Paple Rayn couture showcase.

Serious business kicked off at about 9am with showcase of an edgy collection from Mosaic Fashion House followed by a display of bridal attire from Vencyz Bridal.
The third collection was from Lauma Lingerie, showcasing bras, panties, nightwear and body shapers. Despite the audience’s excitement, the models remained serious as they walked the runway.

The fourth collection with a princess theme was from Anita Beryl of Beryl Couture. Her outfits were dominated with white and gold colours. It was later that she revealed that the collection had an emotional attachment because it was inspired by her recent birthday.

At the event, Beryl was also commended for being the first Ugandan fashion designer to showcase at the Nigeria Fashion Week recently where she had returned from.
The fifth showcase of the night was from Raphael Kasule of K-Rafael who exhibited with a bit of mystery with masks and sunglasses.

Kasule explained that he was aiming for a futuristic theme because that is where fashion is headed. The last showcase was from Suesanne Tumusiime, the proprietor of Pale Rayn Hub who showcased a collection for men.

Anita Beryl of Beryl couture; “My collection was emotional as it was inspired by my recent birthday. I wanted something that had a princess-like theme accompanied with a touch of gold.”

Rafael Kasule of K-Rafael says; “I was looking at more edgy, creative and futuristic concept because this is where fashion is headed.”
