Our Ugandan girls Stacie Lagum Aamito, Patricia Akello and Sera Aliet walked for different designers during the September 6 to September 14 show.

Aamito was the winner of the first Africa’s Next Top Model series that was held in 2014, and is represented by different international agencies including DNA Model Management based in New York.

Meanwhile, Akello is represented by Muse Model Management (New York City) while Aliet is signed to Red Model Management (New York).

Over the years, the trio has got the opportunity to appear in fashion campaigns as well as walk for different designers from around the world.
Aamito walked for Maria Cornejo, a fashion designer based in New York known for her Zero + Maria Cornejo collection.

One of the best of Cornejo’s innovations this season, is the side-slit cropped pants she showed in silk and denim; a pair in silk, paired with a contrasting tunic in the same fabric.

Akello walked for Marc Jacobs (an American fashion designer) and Christian Siriano (an (American fashion designer). Meanwhile, Aliet walked for British designer, Christian Cowan.

Step in the name of cash
The superstars of modelling earn $300 for a single step on the catwalk; that is close to $10,500 just shy of making it to the first end of the runway.
For emerging models waiting for that big break, the general earnings range anywhere from $1,000, with a middle ground rate of $350-$500 a pop for a golden strut down the runway.
