Can Blacks produce a White baby?

What you need to know:

  • Sometimes what we may call a White baby may just be an albino.
  • Albinos can happen from two completely Black parents and may have just white inside of the eye (retina) or may be totally white with eyes, skin and all white hair.

Dear doctor: Can a black couple produce a white child? I know of a black couple with a white child.
Kenneth
Dear Kenneth: Offspring from a White and Black couple are expected to look biracial but in a few circumstances a completely White baby may pop up especially if in the black people’s generation there was a White person. Likewise, Whites may produce a Black baby if in their generation there was a Black person.
The White gene in between the generations can become dormant, only to resurface much later as a White child from Black parents.
