Owing to its success at the previous edition, the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix promotion has been turned into an annual event by organisers City Tyres.

The promotion launched just last year, was a tremendous success going by the reaction of all parties involved.

City Tyres through Pirelli, the official distributor of tyres to Formula One, sponsored eight lucky winners to the last race of the Formula One calendar in an all-expenses paid trip.

“The reaction is very good. For City Tyres it has been fantastic and for Pirelli the reaction is excellent. People are buying tyres. The sales can’t be low obviously because people are very optimistic they will win a ticket to the Yas Marina Circuit,” City Tyres director Ahmed Abdulahi told the Daily Monitor as the first season drew to a close.

Like last season, all one is required to do is purchase a set of four tyres of any segment until October 31 from any City Tyres outlet, to stand a chance of make the all-expense paid trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for three nights and four days.

However, this year, there are instant prizes for whoever buys at least one tyre from the company. Also during the draw, three other lucky buyers of the four tyres that miss out on the ticket are drawn for special prizes like full service of their cars, 50 litres of fuel and dinner at Café Javas.
