KAMPALA. Golfers are generally generous people. And it is not because they play an ‘expensive’ sport. But don’t get this wrong. They are not spendthrifts. They just know how to give back to a good cause. When Buganda Golfers Association (Buga) begged Uganda Golf Club (UGC) to fix a tournament in commemoration of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda II on their calendar last Saturday, they obliged without much pushing. Adding a cause – the fight against Fistula – to the tournament attracted more numbers. Golfers dug deep to collect Shs8m for the Mengo government. Pinnacle Security boss Moses Matsiko registered two teams and it was only fitting that it one of them won.

Team Pinnacle B comprising of national amateur junior star Herman ‘Deco’ Mutebi (34), Sam Byaruhanga (35), Allan Mugisha (38) and Arshvin Kananathan (31) combined for 107 points to take the day’s honours. Soon after picking their awards, Matsiko followed Prince Crispin Kiweewa Jjunju to the ‘high table’ and the two chatted like forever. SCORE later learnt that the two knew each other more than we had anticipated and share very close family ties. Matsiko also revealed that Pinnacle Security also been greatly involved in the development activities of the Kingdom.
