Mayuge.
A 50-year-old man in Mayuge District, who sat Primary Leaving Examinations with his 13-year-old daughter at Bufulubi Primary School, has passed in Division One.

Mr Awali Tezikuba, a resident of Bufulubi village in Imanayiro Sub-county, scored aggregate 11 while his daughter, Janat Mukisa, got aggregate 20.

When Daily Monitor visited Mr Tezibuka at home before the results were released, he was rehabilitating his grass-thatched house while his daughter was preparing lunch.

Mr Tezikuba, also the village chairperson, joined school in Primary Six.
Soon after getting the results by phone, Tezikuba said he was impressed.
“I was expecting to perform better than this but I am happy that I got Division One,” Mr Tezikuba said.
The father of 19, said he would study until he finishes Senior Four.

His daughter said she was disappointed by her performance. “I am not happy with the results because daddy had promised to take me to a better school in Kampala if I had performed better than him,” Ms Mukisa said.
