Taxi driver knocks boda boda cyclist dead in Kampala

One person has been confirmed dead in a motor accident at Airtel Towers Roundabout on Jinja Road in Kampala.
Eyewitnesses say, Ramathan Kato Bulyamu, a boda boda cyclist was hit by a speeding taxi Reg No. UBD 438 J at about 6:30 pm on Thursday.
The rider was then run over by a truck which crushed his head.
However, the passenger on the boda boda miraculously jumped off the bike and survived being knocked.
The body has been taken to Mulago National Referral Hospital for a post-mortem as investigations begin.
Police say, they are looking for the taxi driver who took off after the accident.
