Allen Kagina to head UNRA
Ms Allen Kagina appointed as the new Executive Director of UNRA
The minister of works and Transport Mr John Byabagambi has appointed former Commissioner General of the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Ms Allen Kagina as the new Executive Director of the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA).
The news was broken by the UNRA spokesperson Mr Dan Alinange on his official twitter handle.
"The Board of Directors and Staff of UNRA congratulate Mrs Allen Kagina on this appointment and welcome her," Mr Alinange wrote.
Ms Kagina replaces Mr Sebbugga Kimezze who had been acting in the position before he was suspended following a controversy surrounding the tender for the construction of the Mukono- Katosi road.
The former URA commissioner general retired in October last year after a decade of service at the national tax body.
