What you need to know:

The school says the boy had been their student for more than two years and had never complained of any illness.

Police in Kyotera District are holding a couple for allegedly causing the death of their 15-year-old son.
The suspects, a father of the deceased aged 60 and the mother aged 52 are residents of Kigenya Village in Kyotera District.
The deceased, Christian David Tebandeke who has been a Senior three student at Sacred Heart Kiteredde SS passed away on Monday morning following the beatings from the parents who accused him of having knowledge about the father's stolen motorcycle.
According to the Kyotera District Police Commander, Musa Kayongo, they received several telephone calls from residents questioning the death of Tebandeke.
“Following the many calls I received about the boy’s death, I was forced to send a team that took the body for postmortem at Kalisiizo Hospital where the doctor confirmed that boy had internal wounds and died as a result of heavy bleeding,” Mr Kayongo said on Wednesday.
It is alleged that Tebandeke asked for permission from the school administration last Saturday to collect a few school requirements from home. However, on Sunday evening, he decided to pay a quick visit to his uncle in Kakuuto Sub County. This is the same day his father’s motorcycle also went missing. Parents who suspected the son to know the whereabouts of the missing motorcycle, reportedly tied and started beating him severely upon his return home.
Unfortunately, on Monday morning, he was found dead. Mr Kayongo said the body was returned to relatives for burial and ordered for the arrest of the two parents to help police with investigations. However, some relatives attempted to block the duo’s arrest and demanded for a copy of the postmortem report which police later on produced before whisking away the suspects who were attending their son’s requiem mass. The deceased’s father insisted that the boy died of natural cause, adding that he had been suffering from headache since his childhood.
However, the school administration denies knowledge of any illness of the deceased and insisted that he had been a student at the school since Senior One and had never complained of any illness.
Bro. Charles Kagoye, the school head teacher advised parents to always make thorough research about matters concerning their children and be lenient in deciding what punishments they give them to avoid harming their children.
